In partnership with Global Dining Access by Resy, we welcome Chef Aisha Ibrahim of Canlis, Chef Justin Pichetrungsi of Anajak Thai, and Chef Maryann Yong & Chef Mario Malvaez from Makan to create a collaborative menu alongside our Charter Oak team.

Potluck Dinner is $125 per person and a portion of the proceeds will be dedicated to The Cameron Thompson Legacy Scholarship.

Chef Aisha Ibrahim
Upon graduating from Le Cordon Bleu program, Aisha Ibrahim launched her career in the Bay Area at notable restaurants such as Aqua, Commis, and Manresa where she became a Sous Chef. Ibrahim was tapped to be Chef de Cuisine for Eneko Atxa’s Aziamendi (listed as one of the World’s 50 Best’s original six restaurants to watch) in southern Thailand. Throughout her career, she has spent time at some of the best kitchens in the world including Azurmendi, Kagurazaka Ishikawa, L’effervescence, & Ryugin. Ibrahim accepted the Executive Chef position at Canlis Restaurant in 2021 and was most recently recognised as a 2023 Food & Wine Best New Chef.
Chef Justin Pichetrungsi
Justin Pichetrungsi, chef and owner of Anajak Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, recently received the James Beard Award for Best Chef California 2023 and was named a Food & Wine Best New Chef in 2022. After more than a decade working in entertainment, in 2019 he turned his focus to carrying on the legacy of the chef, his father Ricky, cooking the dishes that the neighborhood family restaurant was known for and adding a popular Thai Taco Tuesday and an Omakase tasting menu experience to showcase the flavors of Thailand interpreted for the modern Los Angeles culinary landscape.
Chef Maryann Yong & Chef Mario Malvaez
Mario Malvaez and Maryann Yong are a chef couple who met during the introduction of Mexican cuisine in Singapore. After a few years working in Singapore they moved to Bangkok to work for chef Gaggan Anand, voted Asia’s number 1 chef four years in a row from 2014-2018. Mario headed Gaggan’s all charcoal restaurant Meatlicious while Maryann worked alongside Gaggan at his chef’s table. After their stint in Thailand they then made the transition to Mexico City where they worked for Eduardo Garcia at Maximo Bistrot. They now have their own project “Makan” which means “to eat” in Singaporean slang.
